Minnesota construction companies, by and large, are hopeful about the coming year.  

A Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis Survey conducted this fall reveals that construction companies have a rosier outlook for the coming year than they did at this time in 2023 or 2022, despite lingering concerns about labor availability, material costs, interest rates and more.

Ron Wirtz, the Minneapolis Fed’s regional outreach director, said during an online presentation in December that the outlook is “more optimistic than I was probably expecting, and certainly the most optimistic we’ve seen in a couple of years.”
