D.C. Memo: Minnesota airports receive millions to upgrade terminals

The Biden administration announced this week it would send nearly $1 billion in grant money to the nation’s airports – including the ones in Minneapolis-St. Paul, Duluth, Bemidji and Two Harbors – that would allow them to upgrade their terminal facilities.

The Federal Administration Agency (FAA) said Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport will receive $20 million or for a project to expand and add two new gates – H15 and H16 – on the north end of Terminal 2 and expand concourse and gate space to support existing gates H13 and H14. The project would also add restrooms and other amenities near those gates.
