“Visitors and residents of the city of Fairmont, MN, enjoy the variety of indoor and outdoor recreation options that the city has to offer,” said Ned Koppen, Economic Development Coordinator of the Fairmont Economic Development Authority (FEDA). Fairmont, located just above the northern Iowa border, is home to five lakes, including Amber, Hall, Budd, Sisseton, and George. Enjoy swimming, fishing, boating, jet skiing, and windsurfing in the warmer months. In the winter months, visitors can enjoy ice fishing and ice skating.
Fairmont Offers Outdoor Recreation All Year Round!
Fairmont is also home to an Aquatic Park that features two 3-story waterslides, a splash pool, and a 6-lane, 75-foot-long recreational pool. Fairmont and Martin County are home to several parks that hikers, bikers, and wanderers can visit.
