Survey finds AI is having growing impact on Minnesota job seekers; trend toward more difficulty finding employment appears to be leveling off

Nearly 56% of CareerForce Staff and Partners who responded to the most recent Job Search Experience Survey and who have worked with job seekers for at least the past year said it was harder than a year ago for their job seeking customers to find work. This is down from nearly 63% who responded similarly in the last Job Search Experience survey in January 2026 and down from 59% in July 2025.
Nearly 13% of respondents to the most recent survey said it was easier for their clients to find work now versus a year ago, compared to 9% who responded similarly in January 2026 and 12% in July 2025.
