Nathan served seven years on active duty before joining the Army Reserves. He served in the Reserves for 15 years as a Senior Operations Manager and retired in 2024. Eager to start a civilian career, Nathan was optimistic but soon became discouraged by the lack of responses to his applications.
“I was ready to get back into the workforce, excited to apply myself to new challenges,” Nathan shared. “After a long period of failed applications, I became more and more concerned that I would have to settle for something that wouldn’t allow me to live comfortably. I even considered working multiple jobs or going back to school.”
