Fairmont Multi-Family Housing Tax Abatement Program
The City of Fairmont created a multifamily housing tax abatement program to encourage decent, safe and sanitary housing for residents and job seekers in the City of Fairmont, and to alleviate a housing shortage. The incentive for the construction of new multifamily housing units is that they are eligible to receive up to 100% of the City’s share of property taxes on the new construction value annually for 10 years.
